Ms. Molek, a native of central Pennsylvania, graduated Cum Laude from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She additionally obtained a graduate certification in Global Career Development Facilitation from the College of Charleston.
She has been working in the field of education since 2004 when she began teaching middle and high school English and Language Arts. After teaching five grade levels in just three years while living in Pennsylvania, she went back to school to obtain an emergency teaching certification from her alma mater Susquehanna University. Ms. Molek then spent four years as a Global Career Development Facilitator in the largest high school in South Carolina. Outside of the school system just near Charleston, SC, she also worked as Career Coach for at-risk youth for Palmetto Youth Connections.
In 2011, she moved to Northern Virginia and worked at the central office level in Prince William County as the Human Resource Specialist for Elementary and Special Education for two years before finding her niche and combining her public relations degree, classroom experience, career development certification, and passion for working with high school students as the Career Experience Specialist here at Fairfax Academy in 2013. Since joining the Fairfax Academy family, she has been serving on the county's Career Center Specialist (CCS) Advisory Committee and also the Equity Team, has won 6 individual awards as the Academy (and Fairfax High School) News Liaison, been leading the Academy Ambassador program, and also received the "Best Academy or Special Center Website" award from FCPS.
