Ms. Chae

Ms. Chae is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She received my Bachelor of Science from Loyola University, New Orleans and her Master of Arts from The George Washington University. This is her 26th year of teaching and her 4th year with Fairfax Academy as the ESOL Resource Support Teacher. She is the co-sponsor for the Korean Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is also the co-lead mentor for the school and coordinates FHS' Cultural Celebration show every year. That is her favorite event in the school! When not at school, she loves to cook, bake and host gatherings for friends and family.

Ms. St Germain

Mrs. St. Germain grew up in Fairfax and attended Fairfax County Public Schools since elementary school.  In fact, both she and her husband, Mark, graduated from Robinson Secondary!  After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University and a Master of Education degree from Marymount University, Mrs. St. Germain began her career with FCPS.

Mrs. St. Germain worked at the elementary and middle school levels for more than twenty years before joining Fairfax Academy this year.  She is part of the Academy Resource team, and she states that the favorite part of her job is getting to know all our Academy students and ensuring that they have the supports in place to help them achieve their goals.  Mrs. St. Germain loves the opportunities and experiences that Fairfax Academy offers our students.

In her free time, Mrs. St. Germain enjoys seeing family and friends.  Since her two boys, Ben and Luke, are in college, she especially loves traveling to the New England area to visit them!

Ms. Sterrett

Mrs. Renee Sterrett grew up in New Mexico and earned her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Arts at New Mexico State University. She started as a middle school counselor in New Mexico, but she found her way into the classroom as both a middle school teacher and then a high school English teacher. She also coaches track in the county.

Mrs. Sterrett has found a home at Fairfax Academy. Working as an Academy Resource Teacher, Mrs. Sterrett is able to work with a diverse population of students across the county and learn from a variety of experts in their field. There’s nothing better than coming to a place of work where you are surrounded by people who inspire the younger generation to explore, learn, and achieve. The Academy at Fairfax is a great place to be!
