Ms. Contompasis is a hard of hearing American Sign Language teacher at Fairfax Academy. She learned to sign growing up in the NoVA area through DHOH teachers and being immersed in the Deaf Community. She continued her studies to help establish the ASL minor and ASL Club at George Mason University. Prior to Fairfax Academy, she taught ASL at Woodson High School and Frost Middle School. When not instructing ASL, Ms. C enjoys coaching the color guard and winter guard for the Woodson Marching Band, as well as spending quality time with her cats.
