3 Words They Use to Describe “The Gig”: Chaotic, Detail-Oriented, Fulfilling

The most meaningful thing about Fairfax Academy was having not just a TEACHER, but a LIFE MENTOR by my side every day. It sparked this fire in me and made me realize a creative career is attainable if you love it enough. Without Academy, I wouldn't have found my love for creating with my hands. I was surrounded with like-minded peers, an insanely creative room to escape that "normal" high school day in, and abundant inspiration. My teacher, Jin-A Chang, would tell us every day that we were going to be world changers- that has stuck with me through it all.“

"The big goal is to grow my brand “MEIKO” globally. My goals are fueled by the relationships I curate with creatives that inspire me, and the artists I reach out to and collaborate with. I’m a true believer that no successful project is developed alone. We, as artists, must bounce off of each other's energy, ideas, and talents to create magic."

This year, Jessica is a featured CFDA Designer (Council of Fashion Designers of America) and was a guest on the Tamron Hall Show. She has been collaborating with magazines such as RVAMAG and LECHE and showcasing her work in fashion shows.
